เป็นประเทศตั้งอยู่ในภูมิภาคยุโรปตะวันตกมีพรมแดนติดกับประเทศเบลเยียม
ลักเซมเบิร์ก เยอรมนี สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ อิตาลี โมนาโก อันดอร์ราและสเปน ฝรั่งเศสเป็นหนึ่งในประเทศผู้ก่อตั้งสหภาพยุโรป
