พระราชวังแวร์ซายส์

พระราชวังแวร์ซายส์ สร้างขึ้นในสมัยพระเจ้าหลุยส์ที่ 14 ระหว่าง ค.ศ. 1661- 1681 จุดประสงค์สำคัญในการสร้างก็เพื่อต้องการให้ชาวโลกเห็นว่า ความมั่นคั่งสมบูรณ์และความงามเลอเลิศที่สุดในโลกมารวมอยู่ที่ฝรั่งเศสทั้งหมด พระราชวังแวร์ซายส์สร้างด้วยหินอ่อนและตกแต่งอย่างวิจิตรพิสดาร ด้วยสิ่งประดับที่หาที่สุดมิได้ทั้งลวดลายการแกะสลักในไม้และหิน เครื่องเคลือบ เครื่องเงิน เครื่องทอง หินอ่อน และฝีมือชั้นเยี่ยมโดยใช้เงินในการสร้างเป็นหิน 500 ล้านฟรังค์


ปัจจุบันพระราชวังแวร์ซายส์ยังมีความงามเป็นเลิศ ซึ่งฝรั่งเศสใช้เป็นสถานที่รับแขกเมืองการประชุมที่สำคัญระดับชาติ
